Detached. Discouraged. Disillusioned. You watched as the color faded from your life. Without warning - IT. ALL. CHANGED. Everything & nothing is the same. You feel safe in this shadowy place, Unwilling to step into the light, Unable to engage or make eye contact. Nothing & everything makes you cry or laugh. Reluctantly giving in to those feelings, but that's all you have to give. Disbelief. Disheartened. Doomed. You exist in this secret life of depression. ________________________________ MY NEW YEAR 11/23/18:
Sometimes you have to isolate yourself to grow through what you go through! I'm grateful for my village...young & old, near & far! I overcame depression with prayer, love, communication, writing, & my village!
I am fearlessly flawed, forgiven, faith-renewed, and feeling free at 40!
I embrace my truth, as I prepare to keep fighting this battle.
