Wedded Bliss Wednesdays

I haven't written one of these in a while but here goes...

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.

Proverbs 18:22 ESV

Experts have conducted research and compiled many lists containing the secrets to a wedded bliss...

Though I am no one's expert, I have a list of my own:

1. Each party must keep God first. (Ecclesiastes 4:12)

2. Assume NOTHING. Preconceived notions kill communication.

3. Be as close to best friends as possible!

4. Seek help when needed.

5. Know how to love each other.

6. Discuss what your visions of marriage are. 

7. Understand that love isn't enough...

8. Work to each other's strengths.

9. Be consistent.

10. Consider how your decisions effect the other party.

Ladies, be prepared to fight to maintain your identity. You are now knowm as "his wife". That's what people will call you, that's how you''ll be introduced, & that's how you'll be treated. Though you become one, remember your purpose as an individual.

Fellas, please know that she will not be "ready" every 48-72 hours. She is not a machine; her body is sensitive. Intimacy goes a long way! She is complex; just love her wholly.
